Louise Byrne is the founder of Story Interiors, a boutique interior design studio based in Surrey. Story’s design philosophy centres on creating homes that are grounded in functionality, yet feel quietly luxurious, thoughtfully resolved, and deeply comfortable to live in. With an understanding of how our surroundings subtly shape the way we feel, Louise designs spaces that nurture an lasting sense of calm, comfort and liveable beauty.

Guided by a passion for a modern European sensibility, Story Interiors is rooted in timeless classic design with a relaxed, contemporary point of view. Louise is drawn to the quiet tension between elegance and ease, heritage and modernity, creating homes that feel both refined and effortlessly liveable..Natural materials such as timber, stone and limewash are chosen for their honesty, texture and patina. Louise’s work favours restraint, muted palettes and thoughtful layering, that bring warmth and a sense of atmosphere.

Believing that the most successful interiors are shaped around the people who live in them, Louise places equal importance on beauty and practicality. Through an approachable and collaborative process, she brings care and clarity to every stage of a project, solving practical challenges while easing decision-making. With a background in graphic design, Louise brings an innate understanding of visual narrative, balance and colour palette to her interiors work. She is currently enrolled at London’s KLC School of Design.
